You Should Be Using A Registry Cleaner
Many of you probably believe that registry repair software is nothing more then a money grab right? After all you’ve been using your PC for a couple of years now and never needed it before. I figured I would put a quick post togeher covering some of the reasons you might want to have a registry cleaner available and what types of things it repairs. If you’re not familiar with these types of programs then I’d suggest checking out these Registry cleaner ratings sites.
Incomplete Program Removal
Not every program has this problem, but when a program is removed it can leave some parts of it behind. Primarily system files and registry entires that were made when you first installed that software. While this may not be any issue right now over time this wasted space in the system registry can slow things down and sometimes even confuse windows.
A piece of registry repair software will delete out of date registry keys and values that are no longer needed from programs that are gone from your PC.
Build up of Old Information
As we use our computers this happens our registry file just gets bigger as we add things to our computer. There’s a particular size that will start to cause problems for your PC and begin to cause noticeable slow downs and crashes. Everything from boot up to program access can be affected. There is good news though, using a registry cleaner you can reduce the size of your registry, you just need to clean out the information, registry keys, and data that is outdated, in error, or no longer needed on your machine. Registry cleaners will also handle this task as well.
Adware and/or Spyware
Often a culprit of many PC related problems if you happen to download a piece of software that has adware, or spyware built into it this going to add items to your registry. While they may not be slowing things down they certainly aren’t anything you want to leave around your windows registry for any length of time. Running a piece if registry repair software like registry mechanic will take care of that as well.
