Several people are now using free reports to promote their company. Sometimes those free reports are aimed at converting the reader into a subscriber, and sometimes to turn the reader into a buyer of an affiliate product.
But whatever the reason you are writing a Free Report, there are three things you should include:
1. Resource Page
Let us say your ebook is about fishing, and aimed at convincing the ebook reader to register for your membership site on fishing tips. Here are some things you can include on your Resource Section:
* Other websites that your reader might find useful
* Other reports or ebooks that they might find useful
* Details to some of the best newsletters on fishing
* Links to Amazon for books or DVDs on fishing
And so on. And of course, any of these could be your own products, affiliate products, or just regular links to regular sites.
If your ebook is rebrandable, you might even include details of the rebranding software that you're using, with your affiliate link on it.
2. Freebie Section
Inform your reader about other free stuff they can get from you. These could be in return for opting in to your mailing list. In fact, your Free Report can be a great way to build your subscriber list.
Again, these free stuff might include affiliate links or links to your own products. They might also be viral tools to promote your site, such as rebrandable ebook.
3. A "work in progress" Section
Do you have other sites that are perhaps not related to fishing? Grab this opportunity to inform other people about these websites that are in development. Tell them about it, some of your readers might be interested.
If you have products that you wish to promote like a fishing DVD set to complement your membership site, write a little bit about it, and point readers to a lead-capture page for that product.
This can also be a great way of getting information, in case you are interested in surveying readers of the ebook - inform them about the survey so that you can get some more feedback.
And, those are the three things you can include in your Free Ebook to help further promote yourself, your business, or your products and services.
